Follow the main OSE process

You'll mainly follow the OSE character creation process. Differences and house rules are below.

0. Google Sheets for characters

We'll keep character sheets in Google Sheets.

2. Classes available

We're using races as classes so the majority of characters will be human.

These classes are available:

• Bard
• Cleric
• Druid
• Dwarf
• Elf (see note)
• Fighter
• Halfling
• Magic-User
• Thief

Elves are rare and are different in this setting. The DM can give you details but they are more fey/fairie than typical. Think like Bowie in Labyrinth more than Legolas from Tolkien.

9. Alignment languages

Will not be used.

10. Buying equipment - Quick Equipment

Optional, player choice: Instead of buying all equipment, you can roll for random equipment specific for your class.

You'd get:

1. Basic equipment: backpack, tinder box, 1d6 torches, a waterskin, 1d6 iron rations, 3d6gp.
2. Class-specific armor, weapon(s), and extra items.
3. Two random adventuring gear.
